Our Core values are LOVE, WORK ETHIC, ACCOUNTABILITY and SPORTSMANSHIP.
LOVE
We look for girls who have a genuine love for the game and love for their teammates. We want coaches and administrators who genuinely love and care for our players. We are more than a team, we are a FAMILY. No player, coach, or parent is bigger than the TEAM.
WORK ETHIC
We want girls who want to be the first one on the field and the last one off the field. If you have to be pushed to put in work, Blue Lightning is not the team for you. We have four rules on this team. The first three rules are the same: NO WALKING ON THE FIELD! Rule number four is to HAVE FUN! Many things may go wrong on the field that we can't control, but the one thing we can always control is our effort.
ACCOUNTABILITY
Each person in this family is accountable for their actions, attitude, and effort. If there is an issue on the field, bring it to a coach's attention and we will deal with it. If there is an issue that needs to be addressed off the field, we will discuss it privately calmly, and respectfully. As players, you play for your teammates and good teammates hold their friends accountable. Coaches are an integral piece of the team's success and good coaches hold each other accountable.
SPORTSMANSHIP
We will respect the game, umpires, opponents, coaches, parents, and fans at all times. We don't care what other teams, players, coaches, or parents do or say, the BLUE LIGHTNING family is expected to always rise above the fray and lead with integrity.
